Jessiepaw darted after his leader, not being able to read her expression. "Celestar?" he murmured, not sure she would hear her. Oh well. He'd see Rosepaw again, but how?

Celestestar didn't reply, an unreadable expression flat on her face. Her paws hit the marshy ground heavily as she pulled ahead of the apprentice, disappearing into the bushes.

Rosepaw gulped should've known! she scolded herself mentally. She wached jessiepaw go off and hoped that his leader wouldn't be to hard on him.

Jessiepaw nearly jumped out of his fur at the appearance of his leader. He gaped at Rosepaw, then mouthed goodbye before chasing after Celestar. "A-am I in trouble?" he squeaked, ears pinned fearfully to his skull.

As if on cue, Celestestar was watching from a pine tree. Her yellow eyed gaze followed the two, narrowing her eyes as those attentive ears of her's heard the conversation. Let them dream. "It'll all fall apart one day." she jumped down, tilting her chin up at Jessepaw while her eyes moved not from the pair.
Satisfied slightly as she earned the last words, she turned tail and padded softly away.
the ones who entertain and who watch.
but im not that kind of girl.

Rosepaws heart ached. Why couldn't she just find a tom in her own clan?! She sighed. Rosepaw traced a circle in the dirt with her paw. "Lets keep seeing each other, no one will know" she said hurriedly.

Jessiepaw, shocked, just stood there and gawked like the true idiot he was. Suddenly, his blood turned cold as ice. "But, we are in different clans." he replied with a shudder, the reality of it all hitting him like a bullet.

Jessiepaw cringed as all comfortableness fled him. He stared at Rosepaw, his mouth going dry. Finally, the tom knew he had no choice. "'I wanted to see you." he meowed, his voice coming out strangled and just plain weird.

Rosepaw was beginning to feel it was a lie. "Oh. Where's the rest of the patrol then?" She asked not meanly, but just curiously.  "So."  She mewed bluntly. "Tell me the real reason you're here."
